Crouching with bow and aiming

when crouching and/or hiding behind a tree or something with my bow, when I aim, I can only see the back of my head and unable to target my prey. Also, sometimes I'd like to Not shoot my arrow, right click does not stop the shot, and I lose arrows. Not sure how to cancel a bow shot without losing arrows. Because sometimes, Prey..just gets away!! Thanks!! Having fun!

As for the canceling bow shot you can do so by pressing E
