FYI: There is a lightening bolt arrow in the game already. I won't spoil it but, as most know, it is Zeus's weapon of choice. -

RoyThis ^; however it should be noted, Zeus's lightning was constructed by the Cyclopes, and not what we may view as a conventional spell.
Could possibly be even a further expansion/update to the game, mayhaps one time you near Aeacus a lightning bolt strikes the ground in front of him, and boom, recipe for crafting lightning. I'm dubious as to if this would be implemented though as it seems we are at odds with the gods (See: Defiance). -

DaveI was really hoping for more interactables like the stone statues on the starter island where you need to make a thing, bring it to a place, then sacrifice something in addition, and finally get "a Power". That felt GOOD. I'd personally use the giant statues for this purpose (maybe an altar to them to gain or steal some of the god's power?", but any way it's done, having other god powers would feel good.
Make them cost stamina (or health?) and using any of them could level a demigod skill. Oh, and we might only be allowed to equip a few (mortal man not being able to contain all the powers of the gods yada yada)? -

JasonThis might make balancing the difficulty quite challenging. Dave's suggestion could work or you could add skill trees and limit the points.

João Oliveira MergedThe concept of this scattered places of power in the begining is great and it actually makes you want to complete this because the rewards are great! I would sugest that, after the beggining island, the places of power, evolved into Trials of Power. This is more mythological, referencing multiple stories such as Herakles Trials.
The idea is to reward players with more abilities such as the Glide. Some concept ideas are the following:
Launch - Holding SPACE BAR, would charge the Launch (using an amount of stamina). When released, the player would Launch upwards if it their standing still or Launch in the direction their moving.
Boost - Holding SHIFT while Gliding would consume an amount of stamina to enter "Boost mode". Basicly a sprint for the Glide.
Water Affinity - No longer consumes stamina to swim. If Water Update, water breathing.
