Allow Town Chests to provide materials for Construction, Refining, and Crafting
Please, please allow crafting from storage in all cases.
Not being able to pull from storage when crafting basic self-crafted items always seems like an unnecessary chore. It is even worse when building as having to juggle regular inventory items with stacks of building materials is a nuance, especially when I have a chest full of stacks of materials.
When discussing crafting games with my fellow "tree punching" friends, it is always the first question that gets asked. If it not a feature it stops some from buying at all.
Even Enshrouded with just a roughly 4 hour wait until unlocking the "magic chest" to allow it was a point of contention for some. Personally I think that it is a good solution and fits well with the tiered type crafting progression.
Even as an option in rule set/server settings?

ArgentineI would like to add that items in storage should be usable as long as they are within a reasonable radius of the crafting station you are using.

jadedThis is always a necessity in crafting/survival games especially for production times and inventory management. Not having it will literally make people quit the game.
That being said, for production I can see things like wood being consumed waaaay too rapidly if it auto pulls. As it stands, having to put in 1 of each item into the tables at a time (wood, charcoal, stone) is horrid. Absolutely stupid. If most items are pulled automatically (especially for building), the ones mentioned above need to have inventory squares so we can stack those mats in higher numbers and just let it run. -

Survival TimYes for both crafting at Utility stations, as well as via the Hammer. Having to run around from chest to chest, grab X, Y and Z to build/craft something is a pain. :)

I want to point out that as i played around with the mechanics of the game, as long as everything is connected with foundations or floors no matter how far away the crafting station is it will pull resources from the storage boxes! if you put two buildings together and connected them with a 1x1 they will pull from any storage on the platform, if you remove the 1 and only 1x1 connecting the buildings you will lose access to the storage in the opposite building! If you make a large foundation and then build mulitple buildings on to it and put all the boxes in 1 corner of a 25x25 every building built on this foundation will have complete and total access to all storage items no matter how close or how far from the crafting station the storage boxes are! This is already a solid mechanic and doesn't need to be changed! More people need to explain how this works so it doesn't get broken! -

It doesn't seem to work like that. I've been meaning to post for a few weeks and the update reminded me. I checked this a week or so ago, I have all the items in chests I need to make multiple items with the crafting bench. Everything is in the same building and on the same connected foundation but I can't craft any items and the benches don't "see" the ingredients that are in the chests.
I've tried rebuilding foundations/floors, moving chests/benches etc and it just seems to be the same as when I first posted this request (I'm the OP)
I see that there is something in the update that sort of fixes this so that's cool even if it isn't quite what my all chests - all day, fundamentalist hopes and dreams were ;-) -

Mochnant+1 as a basic quality of life feature that is expected in these sorts of games.

Alex MergedCurrently, you can craft from storage, but it would be great if you could also add materials to the various forges from storage. That goes for armor crafting stations too.
