  Please note that each Bronze Boar has a different weakness to specific damage types.
  
  We understand that the current messaging is not adequate in relaying this information and plan on improving on this in the future.

  Only some weapons seem capable of hitting the boars spawned as part of the Ares shrine challenges with melee attacks.
  
  I've had both a Kopis sword, and Euryale's Diresong (the unique spear from the Athena dungeon) hit nothing but air, the weapon animation passes right through the boars. The only way I could damage them was using downward strike (which worked for both weapons).
  
  Had earlier used a simple spear which seemed to be working as intended.

  Same. At Ares' Shrine of Brutality (1/2), a couple of small boars came out. No problem. But now the boar that is in the arena takes zero damage. Tried with golden bow, spear, and mace. Also, downward strikes.

  The same thing occurred at the Ares' Shrine of Ferocity. The boar is invincible, or I'm not using the right weapon.

  After stepping inside the arena and spawning the first boar at Ares' sealed shrine, I cannot damage the first small boar. The boar can damage my character, but my attacks do nothing (I've tried all different types of weapons). I completed Ares' shrine of Ferocity and did not have this problem. I was able to kill all of the small boars, and then I defeated the bigger Bronze boar. I've tried saving and exiting the game, and then trying the shrine again and that did not work. I've also tried playing some other areas of the map, completing some other shrines and then trying the sealed Ares shrine again, which did not work either.

  I struggled with this, I found for some reason the uhh simple Sword I think it was (not the copper one) was able to damage all the boars up until the Bronze one.
  Then the bronze one finally took damage with a Forged Copper Axe??

  Ares seal is not near the chest cannot progress further to complete 3/7 cruelty
  killed the bronze boar and sacrificed it
  chest is open
  no seal

  There's a picture by both arenas, showing the corresponding weapon to be used, one was mace, other sword for me.

  first spawned pig at ares shrine wont take any damage from sword or bow, can damage me though
