Thanks to everyone reporting this. We are aware that there is an issue with some resources respawning through buildables.
This is not a bug with the Ruleset "Resource Blocking Radius", rather an issue with some of the assets loading in. -

Micah Anderson AdminWould like to just confirm that your ruleset doesn't have Resource Blocking Radius set to 0 (None)?
If it does this would be allowed to happen.
If its greater than 0 then this is a bug -

billyOHH OK i was wondering what that ruleset was! while i had an idea it coulda been that, it still wasnt clear since there are no descriptions for all that. Thanks!

Micah Anderson Admin MergedJust would like to check what the value of the world setting "Resource Blocking Radius" is. If that is very low it allows this to happen by design.

Agrivar MergedI noticed this started happening to me as well, after the most recent update. How, exactly, does the "Resource Blocking Radius" work? Like, do ALL building parts count, or only some?
-

Agrivar MergedUpdate to my above comment: it's still happening if I travel far from home and return - but if I save and reload the game while standing in my base, none of the trees/shrubs/boulders spawn in. So there's at least a workaround.

Terentia MergedI have mine set at the second lowest. My friend picks the trees and bushes even though I told him not too, so to not care I have it set at the lowest. I find that building foundations on the ground help stop them spawning through things. My home is elevated so I have a cheap foundation under my stones in the crawl space. I hope this helps.

Terry Mergedtrees reappeared back in stone base can walk through them but can't see through them

Tbonker MergedSomething along the lines of a "land claim block/statue" that would block foliage or small trees from spawing in that area so you dont get random trees in your base of operations.
btw, love the game and great job guys cannt wait to see whats in the future !! -

BeforeThunderCan confirm that re-spawn of resources and grass show through foundation. Would be a great fix and I believe not to difficult to resolve.

Micah Anderson AdminIf anyone is seeing this issue with the world setting "Resource Blocking radius" at a normal value like 10m, please start a thread in the troubleshooting channel of our discord https://discord.gg/EBd73vRn9W
Note: The distance is currently from the stump not anywhere on the tree, so building high above the tree, this issue can still currently happen. -

olivia MergedWould like to see this taken care of. Stones and bushes are spawning inside the buildings i have. makes it hard to see my stuff. also the cosmetic grasses poke out some and are an eyesore in a base building game

Gotanx Mergedwhen a building is established, or floor emplaced, then vegetation/trees shouldn't grow through them. It seems that only applies to roofs at the moment but flooring should also hold that rule

bolfar MergedWhen buildings are placed, bushes and trees should be cleared and not allowed to grow back. it would also be nice to terraform a little, level, dig or build up terrain.

Steve MergedI cleared an area of rocks/bushes/etc. and placed a home there. After a couple of days the rocks/bushes returned in the middle of my building. This should not happen once a building piece has been placed on/near that location. I don't want to have to re-clear everything out of my home every couple of days.

JASONI have the ruleset set to the farthest "25 m" and trees and shrubs will still respawn after a while. I even put several layers of foundations down. Weird thing is if I log out and relog back in they are gone for a while.

CodyEven with the new update Visual bugs are still happening where trees will spawn inside the house but not actually be there. It will happen to my spouse but not me or visa versa when we play together.

Vadim MergedTo ensure that plants do not sprout only through stone buildings. This is closer to the real state of things, and it will be more stimulating to build with stone.

Alex SimonAnywhere buildings are placed should just be marked as a "no grow" zone. That includes small plants that can't be harvested, as well as anything that can be mined, harvested, chopped down, or re-spawns. I had to build foundations, then place walls on top of them, then build my floor on top of the walls just to get high enough not to see plants growing in my house. Another thing a lot of crafting games have is the ability to raise and lower the level of the foundation. The foundation height adjusts to the level chosen so that it's not floating in the air, but always makes a connection with the ground. Of course, there are limits on how high it can be raised... See the game "Once Human" for a good example of this dynamic.
