Fast Travel
either build or have in the world fast travel points/portals. i know we have sprint potions but its a long slog back to home...

So as it stands right now there are 3 portals, just ask Aecaus! The rest of the map has not been unlocked yet so we don't know if there are more portals or not! You have built yourself a nice base that you love, but you have ventured out on a farming trip and have a full inventory, build a small little makeshift storage building that will allow you to continue farming a stockpile to take back to base later (These can be built in different zone's and you can literally farm for hours)! You need to log off in a timely manner and cant make it back to base setup small mini bases Near your farming locations that you can go to until you log back n later and make it back to base ... Or you can build 3 mini bases at each of the portals and use those to farm the respective areas!!! and portal from 1 to the other ...
Just trying to keep some immersion in the game!
Hope this helps till the full game is released and we see what happens!

xThere are Portals you just havent found them. Spoiler: Ancient Desert has a Portal and Dark Forrest has one aswell.

Alexander DavisI would throw out there that the portals around the map are good (I am not one that likes things made insanely easy i.e. building 800 portals wherever I want) However, if we had a hearth stone type of mechanic that could take you back to your current active bed spot would be awesome. And you could put a 30 min cooldown or something so that we (the players) can't abuse the feature to negate the needs for portals. It is just that sometimes I just NEED to get back to base NOW. haha So like an emergency Teleport home ability might be nice.

DaveI'd like if there was just a home beacon that you could build (maybe use Silver and Gold, some crystals, some rare ingredients in other words) along with basically a return stone to craft for a one way teleport back home. Like, Even when I'm out I might be a good run from either portal, and at a certain point it'd feel more . . . advanced? If we could simply use up a crafted item and teleport home. That still means we have to venture our from wherever home is, but it makes the return trip less of a slog.

JasonA hearth stone type ability would help with corpse runs. Sometimes I've judged a fight wrong and have to make multiple attempts before I successfully retrieve my gear - reminds me of EverQuest :) When trying to run away after grabbing your gear doesn't even work, activating your hearth stone ability would be another way to recover from a bad decision.
