Recipe for Lumber Mill in a Multiplayer World did not unlock

On my brothers server/world, we made it out of the starting island, and I built the Simple Hammer on the crafting table. The lumber mill was not unlocked on the Simple Hammer's menu, however it was unlocked for the other 2 people playing in the group. My progress is now locked, and I can't switch to another character as it just puts me with all the same gear/recipes and has the same bug, no matter what character I try now.

Duane Smine has done the same thing, it unlocked for my wife but not me and I am the one who does all the building
