Rain can't be seen out windows?

You can't see that it's raining when looking out a window. Looks like a normal sunny day. Until you go outisde and then its suddenly raining.

rain also has no effect on water or small ponds also. the water is very calm and smooth like glass during storms. you also cant see the rain when under a roof or structure with out walls.
